Thank you for using FindFlik. Your trust is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the FindFlik mobile application ("App").
1. Overview of App Functionality
FindFlik is a community-based lost and found platform that allows users to:
- Report lost items
- Post found items
- Communicate with other users via in-app chat
- Coordinate the return of lost items
Users can interact with each other to help return items to their rightful owners. Once an item is verified through chat and agreement, the original owner may pay a reward, and the item may be returned via a delivery partner.
Note: Currently, no payment gateway has been integrated into the application. All reward or compensation transactions are handled outside the app.
2. Information We Collect
We may collect and process the following types of information:
a. Personal Information:
- Name and profile photo (used for identification within the app)
- Email address and/or phone number (used for login or contact verification)
b. Media Access:
- Camera and gallery access (used to upload photos of lost or found items)
c. Location Information:
- Optional access to device location to assist with local item discovery and potential delivery coordination
d. Chat Content:
- Chat messages exchanged between users during item claim and verification process
e. Device and Usage Info:
- Device model, OS version, crash reports, and usage logs (used to improve app performance and stability)
f. Firebase Services:
- Firebase Cloud Messaging for push notifications
- Firebase Crashlytics for crash analytics
3. Purpose of Collecting Data
We collect this data to:
- Enable users to post and claim lost/found items
- Facilitate communication between users
- Allow photo uploads for better item identification
- Notify users about item updates or messages
- Improve overall app functionality and security
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade user data. Your data may only be shared under the following conditions:
- With other users when you post or respond to an item
- With delivery partners (only if coordination for item return is required)
- With third-party services (e.g., Firebase) strictly to operate and maintain core app functions

We use industry-standard encryption and secure practices to protect your personal information. Access to sensitive data is limited to authorized personnel only.
6. Your Rights & Choices
You have the right to:
- Review and update your profile information
- Revoke permissions (camera, location, etc.) anytime via device settings
- Request deletion of your data by contacting our support team

This app is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect or store data from children.
